Gold Band Records is a tiny, independent label. Even though she became an established local celebrity while at high school, her ambitions were greater. When she was graduating in 1964, she relocated to Nashville. Dumb Blonde was her first single to reach the top of the charts for the first time on Monument Records. Porter Wagoner's syndicated tv show required an additional singer around the time. Parton got her first gig in 1967, signed with RCA Records by 1968, she joined the Grand Ole Opry. The show ended in 1974, as her own albums like Joshua Coat of Many Colors and Jolene had begun charting their collaborative efforts. Parton was a part of the group that split after the end of their relationship with Wagoner, wrote"I Will Never Love You and had it reach No. The first time it reached the top spot was in 1974.
